9-1-1 Heroes Award Program

           There are two types of 9-1-1 Hero Awards that will be given at this year’s Symposium which will be held in Lake Charles Louisiana in April. The first Award is to recognize and reward a youth who demonstrate knowledge of the proper use of 9-1-1 by performing some heroic action during the course of the emergency/call and to promote public education and awareness of 9-1-1. The second Award is to recognize and reward an individual Telecommunicator in recognition of their exemplary handling of a specific 9-1-1 or emergency call for assistance. Please see the forms below for more information concerning the criteria for these awards. The deadline for submittal is March 1, 2010 .
